Laika Labs: desk-spanning lamp (prototype 1)

A lamp spanning the full width of a work desk, giving even light over the whole surface. Prototype one of a product line. Built at Hackland (CNC access, $25/week).

Status

2026-11-07: Bench prototype stage, breadboard testing, beginner soldering. Brightness pot (GPIO0) verified; temperature pot (GPIO1) erratic. 1 to 2 prospective buyers; no deposit yet. Handover notes filed to projects/LaikaLabs/.

• Debug temperature pot on GPIO1 (measure at pot lug vs GPIO pin, reflow joint, check breadboard row, add 100nF)

AtomCan website

The shop window. Fungus, the blog, the lamps and the dashboard all publish through it.

Status

2026-11-07: CRT holding page built on Webflow (atom-can.webflow.io): amber phosphor, scanlines, power-on sequence, real logo. Loading-page video and image fixes published in July. Launch domain atomcan.studio. Blog will use the free route (decision 1B).

A transmedia narrative and world: "a study of life as a negotiation with fear". Made to help people feel seen and understood, and to help their support networks understand them.

Status

2026-11-07: Encyclopaedia doc exists. Canon, characters (Lulu, Jethro, Lucas), toxic swamp region, 70s analog look. Airship model in Blender is in progress (it crashes into the swamp).
